From Uji's Tea Fields
to Your Morning Cup
Antixor Matcha started in 2017, when our founder Emi Tanaka came home from Uji with a tin of first-harvest matcha from a small family farm and could not find anything like it in New York. We still buy from that farm today: the Nakamura family, fourth-generation growers who shade their tea for three weeks before the May harvest and grind it on granite stone mills, 40 grams an hour.
We import in small batches, so every tin reaches you within weeks of milling rather than months, and we only sell matcha we drink ourselves every day.
