Antixor University Launches New AI & Data Science Program
Antixor University will welcome the first students on its new MSc in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science this September. The two-year program is taught by the School of Computing & IT in a new GPU lab funded with our industry partners.
Year one covers machine learning, deep learning, data engineering and the ethics of AI. In year two, every student works on a research project set by a partner company, from crop-yield forecasting to fraud detection in mobile banking.
Classes run on weekday evenings so working graduates can join. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in computing, engineering, mathematics or statistics with a CGPA of 3.0 or above, and some programming experience in Python.
Thirty places are available in the first intake, with merit scholarships of up to 50% for the strongest applicants. The application deadline is 15 July.

International Student Exchange Program 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025 International Student Exchange Program, which sends students for one semester to one of our 40 partner universities in Europe, East Asia and North America.
You pay your normal tuition here and none at the host university, and credits transfer back to your degree automatically. Travel grants of up to $1,500 are available for students on need-based aid.
Second- and third-year students with a CGPA of 3.2 or above can apply. You will need a short statement, a recommendation from your academic adviser and, for most destinations, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
The International Office runs information sessions every Wednesday at 1 pm in the Student Centre, and will help you choose a destination that fits your program. The application deadline for the autumn semester is 30 May.

Annual Career Fair Connects Students with Global Employers
More than 80 employers, from banks and telecom companies to NGOs and tech start-ups, came to campus for this year's Annual Career Fair, meeting over 3,000 students and recent graduates in a single day.
The Careers Office ran CV clinics and mock interviews in the weeks before, and 46 employers interviewed on the spot. By the end of the week, more than 250 students had received internship or job offers.
For students who missed the fair, most employers are still recruiting through the Careers Office. Book a one-to-one appointment to get your CV checked and your applications matched to open roles.
Next year's fair will be on 22 April. Employers who would like a stand can contact the Careers Office from January.

How to Write a Personal Statement That Gets Noticed
Admissions tutors read hundreds of statements, and the ones they remember are specific. Instead of saying you are passionate about engineering, tell us about the solar charger you built, what went wrong and what you changed.
Start with why you want this program, not with a quotation. Spend the middle on two or three things you have done that show it: a project, a job, a competition, a book that changed your mind. For each, say what you learned.
End with what you hope to do after you graduate. It does not have to be certain; it has to be thought through.
Keep it between 150 and 300 words, write it yourself and read it aloud before you send it. If a sentence would fit anyone's statement, cut it.

A Parent's Guide to Scholarships and Financial Aid
One in three of our students receives some form of financial aid, and many families do not realise they qualify.
Merit scholarships are awarded automatically on your child's results: up to 50% off tuition for a GPA of 5.00 or A-level grades of A*AA. There is nothing extra to fill in.
Need-based grants cover up to 100% of tuition for families with an annual income under $6,000. You apply by choosing the grant on the application form; we then ask for proof of income, and decisions come within four weeks.
Sports and arts awards, and a 10% discount for each sibling studying here at the same time, can be combined with a merit scholarship.
All tuition can be paid in two instalments each semester at no extra cost. If you are unsure what your child could receive, the Financial Aid Office will work it out with you before you apply.
