Privacy policy

Storelets (“we”) runs an online-store platform for merchants at storelets.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to merchants who use our dashboard and to customers who buy from stores hosted on Storelets.

What we collect

Merchants: your name, email, phone number, business details, bank details you enter for receiving payments, products, orders and the messages that reach your store through channels you connect (for example Instagram, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp).

Customers: the name, phone number, email and delivery address you give at checkout, your order history with that store, and messages you send to a store through a connected channel.

Why we use it

To run the store you bought from or manage: process orders, confirm payments, arrange delivery, send order updates, answer your messages, detect fraud and abuse, and comply with the law. We do not sell personal data.

Meta platforms

When a merchant connects an Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp account, we receive messages, comments and profile identifiers from Meta only to display and answer them inside that merchant's inbox and to link them to orders. We use these only as the merchant's service provider, and we respect Meta's platform terms.

Sharing

With the merchant you buy from, with payment providers (for example Paystack) to process payments, with delivery partners the merchant chooses, and with service providers that host our infrastructure. Each receives only what they need.

Retention and your rights

We keep data for as long as the merchant account or order record needs it, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time at dev@storelets.com. See how to delete your data. We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR.

Security

Every store runs over HTTPS, data is separated per business at the database level, and access tokens for connected channels are encrypted at rest.
